Bluebird Day is just a 25-minute drive from the slopes of Whakapapa, and 15 minutes from the Mangatepopo Road starting point of the world famous Tongariro Alpine Crossing. There are also some fantastic shorter hikes and cycle trails in the park, so make sure you bring your bikes and boots!
