Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: The location is a stone throw from everywhere you want to visit in Oakura. Right across the road from Butlers Reef live music courtyard…great to listen for free…if you like the band.

Negative: Butlers Studio 1…it’s a concrete basement room. The smell of damp mustiness was overbearing as was the high pitched whine of the fridge when the lights went out. The curtains were a broken ill fitting after thought as were the cut to fit blinds. Value for money? Definitely not. Well overpriced. We booked it for the outdoor sitting area…it hadn’t been cleaned in forever, nothing in the room to even clean it ourselves, and the slime on the down pipe…(see pictures) disgusting. Poor form on the owner and letting company (who also apparently clean this rental) to present it in this condition. PS here is why there are no photos of the bathroom…and tip toe past the wasp nest (see pictures). No, I would not recommend or visit again.
