This historic 1960s house was remodeled and reimagined in 2021. The location is a 10 minute walk or a 2 minute drive to all the restaurants/art shops/coffee shops in Joshua Tree. Please be conscientious of noise levels since the house is located in a quiet neighborhood.
The Desert Tortoise was inspired by Scandinavian, Bohemian, and High Desert themes. The master bathroom features a modernized rain shower that can fully accommodate handicapped guests.
The kitchen contains refinished vintage cabinetry with a beautiful new quartz countertop. It is fully stocked (coffee, tea, oil, spices, measuring cups, and cookware). The stylish Chemex coffee maker creates amazing drip coffee with a well developed flavor.
A large meditation/yoga space with 7 large windows and blackout blinds can be found in the enclosed patio. In the backyard you'll find a large seating area with under a new pergola. Cool off in our DIY 8 ft cowboy pool during the warmer months (The cowboy pool is not heated and is drained during the colder months, approximately November to April). When the weather gets cooler, jump into our Softub Resort 300 hot tub. It can fit 6 people and is open year round.
