Despite the secluded, forested feel, you're less than 8 minutes by car from Whole Foods, downtown Bellingham, and other local favorite restaurants, coffee shops, breweries, and the vibrant farmer’s market.
Mount Baker is just a little over an hour away for skiing and snowboarding! Lake Whatcom is a short walk from the house, perfect for swimming, paddleboarding, or a scenic stroll. Just steps from the property is direct access to the Galbraith Mountain trail system, a world-class mountain biking and hiking destination known throughout the Pacific Northwest.

We live in a peaceful neighborhood tucked right next to the forest, so you’ll hear plenty of birds and nature sounds.
The apartment is ideal for families, couples, or solo travelers looking for a quiet, welcoming retreat. We've added all the little touches we appreciate when we travel — like cotton linens for a great night’s sleep, and an open-concept living and kitchen area that feels both spacious and cozy.
There are two comfortably sized bedrooms, each with large closets. One has a queen bed; the other has a full-size bed with a twin bunk above it — perfect for kids or extra guests. We also provide a Pack ’n Play and high chair for families traveling with little ones.

We’re located near beautiful Lake Whatcom and right on the Galbraith Mountain trail system that's perfect for mountain bikers and hikers. From the house, you can easily ride into town or explore trails that connect across the ridge to different parts of Bellingham. While many guests find having a car convenient for getting around, the area is also very accessible for those looking to explore on two wheels!
You'll enter the space by going to the back of the home & up the deck stairs to your private entrance. If you’re traveling with a toddler, let us know — we’re happy to provide a baby gate for the top of the stairs.
Wi-Fi is fast and reliable, great for working remotely. Water pressure here is a little softer than average due to our location — still fully functional. There's also a beautiful soaking tub with a handheld shower wand for a relaxing bath.
The apartment is attached to the main home, more like a side-by-side setup, but part of it is beneath the upstairs of the house. You may hear some light movement or muffled voices occasionally since our home office is upstairs. There's a sweet friendly dog in the main home, but he doesn't bark. It's a very quiet street with tons of trees and nature sounds from being right next to the forest.
