Welcome to The Birdhouse, a 1943 Historic Cottage located in beautiful Lakeside, CA! This rare gem has everything you could ever ask for in a vacation rental: an outdoor pool & spa, multiple patios, a palapa tiki bar, chef's kitchen, bonus game room, and SO MUCH more! Come take in the gorgeous lake views as you enjoy a glass of wine by the fire pit, with the soothing sounds of the waterfall feature trickling in the background. You can't beat this paradise retreat, and we can't wait to host you!
The Space:
This corner lot beauty has a wonderful floorplan complete with two living spaces, a chef's kitchen, 4 TVs, 3 bedrooms (king in 1st room, full bed w/ trundle twin in 2nd room, king in master, and then in the living space there is a pullout couch ) and 2 bathrooms. There is also a hideaway bed in the sitting room for your extra guests. Laundry, central AC/ heat, parking for 4 cars + RV AND boat parking included! Make your way outside to a private entertainer's delight where you can relax on the comfortable outdoor couches and throw some burgers on the grill. Around the detached garage, you'll find a stunning salt water pool, bubbling jacuzzi, fire pit, a second bbq area, and the Tiki Bar. Did we mention the bonus game room?! Have some fun challenging your friends to a game of foosball or air hockey (loser buys the next round!). Grab our complimentary beach equipment -- including a surfboard & boogie boards -- and hit the road for a day at the shores.
Guest Access:
Guest access is completely contactless (you will be given a door code 3 days prior to check in). If you need anything, we are available 24/7 and the homeowners live 5 minutes up the road!
The Neighborhood:
Lakeside is a rustic, rural escape about 25 minutes outside of San Diego. From our home, you are 35 minutes to lovely Julian, 25 minutes to the beaches, SeaWorld and San Diego Zoo. There are multiple county parks surrounding the house, plenty of beautiful hiking trails, and of course, the lake! Send us an inquiry if you are interested in a boating experience!

We charge a pet fee of $150/ per pet/ per stay. And we charge pool heat $100/day.
